The Supreme Court will rule at a later date who should pay the multi-million euro legal bill arising from the row over public rights of way at the historic Lissadell Estate.
The court ruled against Sligo County Council last November by finding that three of four routes on the lands were not rights of way.
However the local authority has since asked the judges to revisit part of its findings ahead of a decision on costs.
The bill is expected to be in the region of €7 million.
Lawyers for Lissadell owners Edward Walsh and Constance Cassidy are pushing for their costs - and have said the local authority should not get a 'free pass' because it is Council.
