Talks at the LRC aimed at averting a junior doctors' strike have broken up this evening without moving any closer to a solution.
The Irish Medical Organisation says its members are prepared to go on strike later this month over rosters which force them to work more than 24 hours at a time.
The Health Service Executive claims they are keen to avoid industrial action at all costs.

However IMO spokesman Eric Young says they've yet to put their words into action:
