Dublin's Tallaght Garda station has re-opened to the public after being evacuated earlier.

It followed what Gardaí described as "contents of concern" being found in a bag at the station.

The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team have completed an examination of the bag and its contents.

They have been removed and will now be subject to further technical and forensic examination.

A man aged in his 30s has been arrested and detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act.

All road closures have also been lifted, and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
