The Tánaiste Joan Burton says NAMA needs to "get real" if they are considering paying bonuses to developers.

The boss of the agency said during the week it is considering the payments to a few developers who work with NAMA.

He said only a few would be eligible for such payments.

Some 122 developers who are debtors are getting an income from NAMA, including some paid more than €150,000 a year.

Ms Burton says NAMA needs to forget this one and has described it as an appalling idea.
