The Taoiseach says the coalition will show the confidence they have in the Health Minister in a Dáil vote tomorrow night.
Enda Kenny says the Fianna Fáil motion of ‘no confidence’ in James Reilly is because they’re “terrified” of the Sinn Féin party.
The issue of the vote and health cuts has dominated the first day back of the Dáil.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin says government ministers and backbenchers have refused so far to back James Reilly.
But Enda Kenny says they will show their support in full.
The motion was tabled by Fianna Fail after the Health Service Executive (HSE) announced cuts in services for people with disabilities – some of which were later reversed.
Mr. Martin said it speaks volumes that Labour Ministers Roisin Shortall, Jan O’Sullivan and Joan Burton have failed to express confidence in Minister Reilly.
But Taoiseach Enda Kenny said Labour and Fine Gael ministers would support the Minister this evening.
