The Taoiseach has held talks in London with the British Prime Minister on maintaining strong economic and political links between Ireland and Britain.
The meeting at 10 Downing Street follows the release of a joint statement last year, outlining a roadmap for Anglo-Irish relations for the coming decade.
The two leaders are to meet annually to discuss cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Speaking after this evening's meeting, David Cameron said his government was more determined than ever to build a prosperous Northern Ireland, despite recent difficulties.
While the Taoiseach Enda Kenny said both governments would work with political parties in the North to build peace.
