The Taoiseach will pay his first official visit to Northern Ireland today.
Simon Harris will meet with the First Minister Michelle O'Neill and Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly in Belfast.
Their meeting is expected to touch on developments since the restoration of the Stormont Assembly in February and potential opportunities for "practical all-island cooperation".
Mr Harris will also meet the speaker of the assembly Edwin Poots before holding bilateral meetings with Alliance leader Naomi Long, UUP leader Doug Beattie and SDLP leader Colum Eastwood.
He will also be briefed by business stakeholders and discuss business environment challenges and opportunities.
The Taoiseach will then attend the Duncairn Arts Centre before a visit to Queen's University Belfast.
Mr Harris will meet with academics involved in ongoing all-island research including on cancer care, sustainable energy and resilient food systems.
The research is co-funded by programmes through the Government’s Shared Island Fund.
