Enda Kenny has ruled himself out of the running for any of the remaining jobs in the EU.

The Taoiseach discussed some of the vacancies at a meeting with Angela Merkel in Berlin this afternoon.

There had been speculation that the Taoiseach could be approached to take over from Herman van Rompuy as Head of the European Council.

But Enda Kenny says he does not care if he ticks all the right boxes for that job:
