The Taoiseach says he would support giving prison officers more protective equipment - including stab vests - in light of Derek Brockwell's escape.
Convicted robber Brockwell stabbed two prison officers at Tallaght Hospital on Tuesday - where he was undergoing scheduled treatment.
He escaped from custody - and was arrested in Belfast city centre last night after PSNI officers tasered him.

The Justice Minister has commissioned a report into Brockwell's escape.
And Taoiseach Enda Kenny says providing stab vests to gardaí and prison officers is something he would support.
