The Taoiseach and the Tánaiste will travel to Brussels today for talks to agree on the next EU Budget of 960 billion euro for the next 7 years.
Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore will attend this evening's talks, representing Ireland's Presidency of the EU.
Today's talks will centre on an EU spend of 9 hundred and 60 billion euro over the next 7 years, to be invested in boosting jobs, the economic recovery and fueling growth across the eurozone.
EU leaders spent 25 hours in marathon talks in February negotiating this budget - the first ever cut to the amount spent because of the continuing financial crisis.
The 'Multi-annual Financial Framework' budget programme covers from 20-14 to 20-20, and sets out what can be spent annual in various policy areas, such as creating jobs, tackling climate change, migration, or cross-border crime.
The Taoiseach and the Tánaiste will hold the talks with the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and President of the European Parliament, Martin Schultz.
