Taxi drivers have voted to go back to providing a full service at Dublin Airport.
A row erupted over a management decision to designate 70 taxi spaces as car parking spots.
Marathon talks through the night resulted in a recommendation from a mediator which has now been accepted.
Both sides agreed to enter into mediated talks yesterday evening in an effort to find a solution to the strike action.
It was affecting thousands of airport users.
The latest develop came after separate failed talks earlier yesterday afternoon.
Taxi drivers downed tools yesterday and refused to pick up passengers at the airport until parking spaces that were taken away from them in a holding area are given back.
Willie is a taxi driver and representative with the TTNH – Tiomanaí Tacsaí na hÉireann.
“The drivers have no problem with relocating, once they get the spaces back – there’s 2 weeks of hard negotiations going to go on now with the DAA” he said.
“They’ve agreed to give back the spaces for the next 2 weeks”.
“It’s a victory for us as we can see – for the moment – against the DAA, who have caused this in the first place; it was kind of a lock-out” he added.
John Usher is from the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation.
He explains what was in that recommendation.
