A government TD says he is not going to let the Finance Minister 'rip off' Dublin.
Kevin Humphreys is one of four Labour deputies tabling a Dail motion which opposes any central funding cuts to local authorities.
The four Dublin councils look set to lose out because property tax returns will be higher in the capital.
But Deputy Humphreys says the move would not be justified.
The Taoiseach meanwhile has denied reports that the coalition parties are 'at war' over the tax.
It has been claimed that Fine Gael and Labour are at odds over whether the property tax should replace the funding that Councils get from the central government, or pay for extra new services instead.
Enda Kenny has admitted to the Dáil that the government has not yet agreed on some of the fine details about how the tax will be used.
But he has told Micheal Martin of Fianna Fail that there is no major row over how exactly the money should be spent.
