Ireland's TDs have given back almost €140,000 in allowances they didn't use.
The money has been returned by 56 Deputies who didn't use the entire amount given to them. They returned the money as part of an end-of-year audit by all TDs.
Former education minister Ruairi Quinn returned the highest amount, giving back over €15,000 - while junior minister Jimmy Deenihan returned the lowest, €3.63.

Transport minister Paschal Donohoe returned €6.89 out of his total allowance of €16,000.
TDs received a total of €6.2m last year in travel and office allowances.
