“Regardless of what you’re watching, everything feels like it’s jumping out at you.”

Are you looking to upgrade your TV? Well, look no further. Tech Bytes is back with Jess Kelly’s review of the new Philips OLED907 TV.

The Philips OLED907 is the latest OLED TV from the company, and from the moment you take it out of the box it really packs a punch with its sleek design and innovative built-in features.

At a glance, the TV has an incredibly thin screen and high-quality metallic finish, making it aesthetically pleasing and unimposing whether it’s on a stand or wall-mounted in any size room.

Supercharge your viewing experience with Ambilight technology

The incredibly thin screen is offset to spectacular effect by Philips’ Ambilight technology. If you’re not familiar, Philips’ Ambilight uses rear-mounted intelligent LEDs around the sides and top of the TV to cast colour from the picture on the screen into the room – in real time. The uncanny accuracy of the casting makes it feel like the picture is bigger and so much more immersive.

For example, if you’re watching a rugby match, the lights might glow green to reflect the colour of the pitch and this would project out of the TV onto the wall and into your living room. The result is some of the most vibrant pictures among the world of the best OLED TVs.

This makes the TV a great option for sports or movie lovers and gamers alike.

And if you want to control the colour or style of lighting yourself to set the mood, you can do so using the handy all-encompassing remote control. If you were having a party, you could set the TV to play your music through YouTube or Spotify and have the Ambilights pulsate and adapt to the beats of each song – which is undeniably impressive!

“It really does transform the entire viewing experience,” according to Jess.

Top-class audio

Moving on from the visual effects, this TV doesn’t slack when it comes to audio either. The flush fabric-covered built-in sound bar was designed by audio powerhouse Bowers & Wilkins, ensuring a top-class audio output.

For added punch, there’s also a subwoofer embedded into the rear of the cabinet with Dolby Atmos processing making compatible movies sound like you’re in your nearest cinema.

“It is epic… It’s definitely superior to any built-in system I’ve seen for quite some time,” Jess confirms.

Something for everyone...

There’s plenty of technology crammed into this sleek slim frame to make sure you are getting the most out of your viewing experience – whether that’s for television shows, sports, movies, gaming… Or Paw Patrol on repeat.

However, as Jess explains, it’s the user interface that makes this type of advanced technology so accessible for all users.

Using a clear, intuitive interface, the latest Android TV 11 lets you effortlessly switch between Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Disney+ and many other services. You can customise the menus to suit your usage and add/remove apps you use most frequently.

Alongside all of the above, there’s also IMAX support for movie-lovers, in-game customisation for avid gamers and more. You can learn all about these and more from Jess in the full review below.
