A man is in hospital after a stabbing in south Dublin last night.

Gardaí say the man, aged in his was 20s, was stabbed during a “serious assault” in an industrial estate in Ballymount at around 9pm last night.

He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A teenager was arrested at the scene and is now being held at a Garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí have seized a weapon believed to have been used during the incident and it is now due to undergo a technical assessment.

The Garda investigation is ongoing.
