A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in an alleged hit-and-run in Dublin in July.
40-year-old Michael Farrelly was knocked down and killed in the incident on the Coast Road in Baldoyle in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, July 17th.
It is understood he was walking home when he was struck by a stolen car.
The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene.
This morning, gardaí arrested a young man in his late teens in connection with the death.
He is currently being held at a Dublin Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The incident was referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) due to Garda involvement before the collision.
