Gardaí have arrested a teenage boy in connection with the assault of a woman on a forest walking trail in Cork earlier this month.
He has since been released without charge.
The assault happened on June 6th while the woman was walking on the Island Wood forest trails, Newmarket, at roughly 7.10pm.
The woman did not require medical attention following the incident.
Gardaí in Mallow are continuing to appeal for witnesses to this incident.
Road users who were travelling near the vicinity of Island Wood on the outskirts of Newmarket, and surrounding areas on June 6th between 4.00pm and 10.00pm with dash-cam footage have been asked to make it available to Gardaí.
Any person who was walking, cycling, running or visiting the Island Wood walking trails on the night of the incident and may have noticed any unusual activity is also asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
