A teenager has died following a single-vehicle crash at Quigley’s Point, Co Donegal.
It happened on the R240 in Cross at roughly 11.15pm last night.
The passenger, a teenage boy, was killed in the crash.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, for treatment of injuries which are believed to be serious.
The road remains closed this morning for forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time.
This is the 124th road death in 2024 so far.
