A teenager has been injured in a gun attack in Dublin tonight.

The 16 year old boy was standing outside a house on Lismore Road in Crumlin at about 9 o’clock this evening, when a number of shots were fired from a passing car – which gardai describe as a black-coloured saloon.

The victim was taken by ambulance to St James’s hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be serious but not life threatening.

The scene has now been sealed off for a technical examination and an investigation has been launched.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
