A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Tristan Sherry in a restaurant in Blanchardstown on Christmas Eve.
The boy, who cannot be named because he is a minor, appeared in Dublin District Court this morning.
He was remanded to the Oberstown Children Detention Campus following a brief hearing and will appear at the Children’s Court on Wednesday.
He is the third person charged with the murder of Mr Sherry and the fifth arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Garda Tom McCarrick of Blanchardstown station told Judge Kelly that the teenager was charged shortly after midnight in the presence of his mother
The teen’s mother attended court with him today.
Death of Tristan Sherry
Mr Sherry, aged 26, was killed following a shooting inside Browne's Steakhouse in Blanchardstown in which another man, Jason Hennessy Sr, 48, was fatally injured.
Mr Sherry was pronounced dead at the scene following the attack while Mr Hennessy died in hospital.
David Amah, 18, and Michael Andrecut, 22, were previously charged with the murder of Mr Sherry.
Wayne Deegan, 25, was charged with producing a knife as a weapon, assault causing harm and violent disorder.
The three men will appear in court later this month.
Another man was arrested in relation to the wider investigation into all of the circumstances surrounding the attack and was later released without charge.
A separate murder investigation is underway for the death of Mr Hennessy.
