A teenage boy has died in a workplace accident in County Kilkenny.

Gardaí say they were alerted to the incident in the village of Freshford yesterday afternoon.

The teen was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified and is carrying out its own investigation.
