Gardaí are investigating a single collision in Co Carlow, in which a teenage boy died.
The 16-year-old was killed when the car he was driving stuck a wall near 'The Nine Stones' Mount Leinster in Borris.
It happened at around 5.00am on Sunday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The four other men in the car, all aged in their late teens, were taken to St Luke's Hospital and Waterford University Hospital.
One of them is believed to be in a serious condition.
This stretch of road has been closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
