A teenage girl has died after a crash in Oughterard, Co Galway.
Gardaí at Salthill are investigating the single vehicle collision, which happened at around 1.15am on Sunday morning.
The girl died when the car she was a passenger in struck a wall.
The driver of the car, a man aged 21, was uninjured.
Her body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway, where a post mortem will take place.
Gardaí are appealing to any road users who may have travelled the road and can assist them to contact Salthill Garda station on 091-514-720, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
She is the seventh death on Irish roads this weekend.
A man died after he was hit by an articulated lorry in Co Monaghan on Sunday, while two people died following a crash in Co Cavan on Friday night, and three others were killed in a crash in Co Louth early on Saturday morning.
