A teenage girl has been killed and two teenage boys seriously injured in a crash in Cork.
Gardaí said it happened in Knocknaheeney area of Cork city just before midnight.
The three teenagers were in a car that crashed into a wall on the Harbour View Road.
The girl was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
The two boys, the driver and a second passenger, suffered serious injuries and have been taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí said one of them is believed to be in a critical condition.
The Harbour View Road remains partially closed while Gardaí carry out a forensic investigation. Local diversions are in place.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with any information on the crash to contact them.
They are particularly interested in talking to drivers who were on the road between 11pm and 12:30 am and may have camera footage.
