Four teenage girls and a man in his 20s have been injured in serious road crash in County Carlow.
Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of the crash at Clogrennane around 1.5km from the village of Ballinabranagh.
Investigators said the crash happened at around 11:50am this morning.
The five young people have been taken to the Midland Regional Hospital and St Lukes General Hospital Kilkenny.
Gardaí said two of them have sustained serious injuries.
A technical examination of the scene is underway and the road remains closed. Diversions are in place.
Gardaí are calling for witnesses who were travelling on the Ballinabranagh Road between 11.40am and 12.15pm to contact them.
