A pedestrian teenage girl has died following a collision in Limerick City last night.
Gardaí said the crash between the car and the teenage girl happened at approximately 11.40pm last night, August 16th, in the Bank Place area of Limerick City.
The girl was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries, where she later passed away.
There were no other reported injuries from the crash.
The road at Bank Place is currently closed as investigators examine the scene. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone with video and dashcam footage who were travelling in the Bank Place area of Limerick city between 11pm and 11:45pm.
