A teenager has been arrested after two women were stabbed in Northern Ireland.
The 17-year-old man is being held on suspicion of attempted murder.
The women, both aged 22, were attacked while walking close to Beresford Avenue in Coleraine at around 11.25pm on Sunday night.
They were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.
Police have said while their injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening.
The arrested man was detained a short time later and remains in custody.
The PSNI is appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or who noticed two males running away, to contact them.
