A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of Cork student Cameron Blair.
The 20-year-old was stabbed at a house party last Thursday night.
He was taken to hospital after a fight broke out at a house on Bandon Road and pronounced dead a short time later.
Cameron was a second-year student at the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and played rugby for Bandon Rugby Club.
Gardaí arrested the 17-year-old man on Thursday in connection with this investigation.
He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Togher Garda station.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information to contact them.
Anyone who was in the Bandon Road area between 8.00pm and 10.00pm last Thursday and witnessed anything - or anyone with dash cam or mobile phone footage - is asked to contact Togher Gardaí on 021-494-7120, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
