A Dublin teenager has been remanded in custody after he was charged with murder.
On Tuesday evening, Aaron Keating, who was in his 40s, was fatally assaulted on Main Street in Ongar.
People in the area at the time rushed to try and help him but he was pronounced dead in Connolly Hospital a short time later.
Gardaí have since said they are aware that people who were in the area may have recorded footage of the incident.
They are urging them not to share it on social media and to make it available to investigating gardaí.
A 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared before the Children’s Court on Friday morning and has been remanded in Oberstown Children Detention Campus.
He is due to appear before the court again next week.
