A teenage boy will stand trial in March for the murder of a mother-of-two, who died after being stabbed in the IFSC in Dublin last January.

The boy was 14 at the time of the alleged murder.

Urantsetseg Tserendorj (48) was originally from Mongolia but had been living in Dublin with her husband and two children.

She was stabbed at the walkway between St George’s Dock and Custom House Quay in Dublin on January 20th and died in hospital two weeks later.

The boy, who can’t be named because of his age, was charged with her murder in May.

A provisional trial date of March 14th was set today, but the court will be given a progress update when the case is mentioned again in January.

The trial is expected to take up to four weeks.

Given that the accused is under 18, the judge said he wanted to ensure the proceedings are appropriate for a child.
