Two teenagers have been released without charge in connection with an assault on a man in Dublin on St. Patrick's Day. The attack on the man (30) on Aston Quay was filmed and went viral on social media.

The video showed a young man being kicked in the head and in the face in broad daylight. It showed witnesses screaming with revellers running into the street to help the victim.

The perpetrators can be seen running away as people attend to the victim.

Two boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested yesterday and have now been released from custody.

Files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
