A teenage boy charged with attacking and robbing English tourists in Dublin's Temple Bar has been remanded in custody after allegedly breaching his bail terms.
The 16-year-old appeared in court earlier today after returning to the area of the attack yesterday.
Dublin's Children's Court heard that the teenager - who cannot be named because of his age - returned to Temple Bar yesterday afternoon, and knocked over an elderly woman and injured a Garda inspector while trying to evade officers.
He was previously charged with assault causing harm to two men and robbery of a third at Fownes Street on the night of August 11th - and last week, a judge released him on condition he remains out of the entire Dublin 2 part of the city.
Gardaí alleged the boy ran when he was observed near Fownes Street and "in the process of running, knocked over an elderly lady".
They say he then ran into a Garda inspector who suffered a dislocated shoulder and will be off work for six weeks.
The court heard the accused was also allegedly spotted in Temple Bar "in disguise" while fans celebrated the American football game on Saturday.
Defence for the teen told the court the teen was taking a shortcut to the gym, and pleaded that he be given a "last chance saloon" chance to adhere to the order.
However, Judge Alan Mitchell revoked bail and remanded him in custody to the Oberstown Children Detention Campus pending his next hearing on Friday.
