Temple Street Children's Hospital is to run a national face painting day to raise funds.
It will see face painting taking place in 146 Tesco stores around the country this Saturday October 11th from 12pm.
It comes after the hospital was named as 'charity of the year' partner by the retailer.
The partnership will see the funds raised over the next two years used specifically to help the hospital purchase life-saving medical equipment for its patients.
TV presenter Sybil Mulcahy helped launch the initiative, saying: "As a mum of three, I am delighted to be supporting this nationwide face painting fundraiser for Temple Street."
"The hospital and its staff offer so much more than just medical assistance to families," she added.
Each year, Temple Street treats more than 145,000 children from across the country, and operates the busiest accident and emergency department in Europe.
