Incredible footage of a terrifying speed boat accident that occurred at one of the largest US boat races, has recently surfaced online. 

The video captures a 46-foot Outerlimits speed boat launching over 60 feet in the air and flipping several times before crashing into the water below.

The driver, Joel Begin, survived the crash with minor injuries while the throttleman, Mike Fiore, had to be airlifted to a local hospital by event ogranisers. 

His condition, which was previously critical, has now been updated to serious but stable. 

The Lake of Ozarks Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the United States.
