Terry Nutkins has died.
The broadcaster – who hosted the children’s wildlife programme The Really Wild Show in the 1980s and 90s – was 66.
He’d been diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this year.
BBC presenter Phillip Schofield tweeted: “So sad to hear of the death of Terry Nutkins.I worked with him often in my ‘broom cupboard’ days. A delightful man and passionate naturalist.”
Watch excerpts from the BBC’s documentary on Terry below as he talks about the good old days presenting Animal Magic, and about saving British sea life.
