Tesco drone deliveries are to be trialled in Ireland, it has been confirmed.
The announcement was made during a web event hosted by the supermarket chain today, with the company to team up with Irish/US firm Manna.
Manna has already begun trialling drone deliveries for restaurants here, saying that deliveries can be made in 'three minutes or less' within a 2km radius.
The firm's CEO Bobby Healy confirmed they'll be testing out the technology for Tesco in Ireland.

In comments quoted by Reuters, Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis said: "[Manna has] already proven the capability, the question is how do we take that capability and apply it to Tesco.
"That's the detail that's being worked on now before we get to the trial."
It's expected the initial trial will focus on a 'small basket' delivery of grocery items, rather than large items or orders.
Earlier this year, Manna began trialling takeaway food deliveries - including from the Supermacs restaurant in Barack Obama Plaza in Moneygall.
Manna has said it wants to replace "dangerous, noisy and expensive" road-based delivery with drones.
