Paris attacks suspect to be extradited to France

A Belgian court has announced that a Paris attacks suspect, and one of the most wanted men in Europe, can be extradited to France, according to federal prosecutors. Salah Abdeslam, who had been on the run for almost four months, was captured in Brussels earlier this month and charged with ''terrorist murder.''

Irish man dies at Spanish holiday resort

An Irish man has died at a holiday resort in Spain. The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to his family. The man, who is aged in his 20s, died yesterday.

 

Irish man dies after stabbing in Sydney

An Irish man has died after being stabbed at a restaurant in the Australian city of Sydney. It is understood the man was from Dublin and had been living and working in Australia for a number of years. At around 9.30pm local time last night the man, aged in his 50s, was having dinner with a woman at a restaurant in a shipping centre in Hornsby. A man approached the pair and stabbed him.

British entertainer Ronnie Corbett has died aged 85 surrounded by his family, his publicist has said. A statement from his publicist said: "Ronnie Corbett CBE, one of the nation's best-loved entertainers, passed away this morning, surrounded by his loving family. "They have asked that their privacy is respected at this very sad time".
