The Right Hook ended as it started, full of George's usual mix of news, comment and opinion.

But amongst all of that, the show was bursting full of nostalgia, well wishes from across Ireland and further afield, and no shortness of emotion from the man himself.

Shane Coleman turned the tables on George, asking him about how the Right Hook began, and how he has enjoyed the journey over the last 14 years.

There were also plenty of memories shared over the course of the show, with just some of them packed into a montage below for you to enjoy.

And here was his final farewell to the show.
