Newstalk’s The Pat Kenny Show has won the Voice Media award at this year’s Headline Mental Health Media Awards.
The award, which is in partnership with See Change, is given to "a publisher, in print or online, or broadcaster who has demonstrated excellence in the quality and quantity of coverage given to people with self-experience of mental ill health".

It was one of four Newstalk nominations on this year’s awards shortlist.
Two pieces - Paul O’Donoghue’s reporting on lack of funding for Ireland’s eating disorder treatment plan and a Pat Kenny Show report on one mother's experience of severe anxiety - made the shortlist in the mental health broadcasting (short form) category.
Meanwhile, Newstalk’s Take a Break was also nominated in the Voice Media Award category.
