The song by Kabin Crew has received positive coverage from all over the globe including the US and UK - with The New York Times branding it "the Song of Summer".

The track went viral with over 350 million views on social media.

Two of those involved in the project, Lucy Corcoran and Treasure, told Newstalk Breakfast they can't believe it's done so well.

"I'm actually shocked, like I can't believe it," Treasure said.

"I would say a reason why people would like it is because it might inspire them to never stop liking what they do.

"No one is going to be able to stop what they do."

Treasure said making the video was a lot of fun.

"After the kids in Cork recorded their part, Gary and his crew came over and helped us record and write our verses," she said.

"After a few weeks we went over to Cork to film it with them.

"[Making the video] was so fun."

Lucy said she never thought it would come this far.

"We made the song at a camp where basically everybody just joins together and makes songs and does whatever," she said.

"We were making the music video just for fun but we never thought it would come this far.

"We just got a few people to record on the track and just have fun with it," she added.

The track is now streaming on Spotify and other platforms.
