Weather warnings are in place around the country this evening.

An Orange Wind alert is in effect in Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal with gales of up to 65 to 75 km per hour.

A yellow level wind alert is in place in Munster and Leinster where Southwest winds will reach 50 to 65 km per hour.

Both warnings are in place until 9am tomorrow, with the chance that gusts could reach up to 90 to 110 km per hour at times overnight.
