A petrol station robbery in Philadelphia, US, took an odd twist when the bandits decided against running away.
The three men, not happy with the money they were given, shot the 18 year-old cashier, leaving him with a grazed head, and then ordered him into the bathroom.
They then commandeered the station, selling petrol for hours to unsuspecting customers, some of whom were lucky enough to get discounted rates.
Lt John Walker of the Philadelphia Police Department spoke to CBS News about the robbery:
"In my career, that’s the first time I’ve seen or heard something like this occur. Obviously they probably didn’t feel like they got enough money, so they’re going to sit there, take control of the business, offer gas at a discounted price and try to get additional money which is just bizarre.”
