A third man is due in court charged as part of a corruption investigation into a ‘particular Garda unit’ based in Dublin.
Four gardaí from the unit have been suspended while the Garda Anti-Corruption Unit carried out its investigation.
One garda and a garda sergeant have already appeared in court as part of the investigation.
The garda is facing charges of perverting the course of justice and burglary, while the garda sergeant is charged with the false imprisonment of a woman, perverting the course of justice and burglary.
This morning, Gardaí confirmed that a civilian has now also been charged and will be brought before the courts later today.
Gardaí said the duties of the unit under investigation are being carried out by other members of An Garda Síochána.
