More than 10,000 people are expected in Clara, Co Offaly later for the homecoming of Shane Lowry.
The 32-year-old became only the fifth Irish golfer to win the Open Championship after his victory in Portrush over the weekend.
The celebrations in Clara kick off at The Green in the town at 6.00pm.
Organisers say they are expecting 10,000 people to attend, but the final number could be much higher.
Brian Gavin, chairperson of the local GAA Club, outlines what is happening.
"We have the very famous Offaly singer Mundy performing on stage, also a great golf impressionist Conor Moore from Conor Sketches will be here as well - and also Des Cahill will be here to do the MC of the evening.
"He'll have interviews with Shane as well.
"And we'll have great music in the background going all evening, and it promises to be a fantastic evening."
Lowry cruised to victory at Portrush over the weekend, winning in the end by six shots.
Local councillor Frank Moran says it is a big deal celebrating his win in Clara.
"We're expecting huge crowds - [there's been] huge support for Shane Lowry throughout the whole weekend, and throughout the last 10 years since he became professional.
"But Portrush it's just humendous - it's a huge occasion for the town of Clara and it's going to be great to welcome Shane Lowry home".
