The mud and debris is now blocking the flow of a major river.
The Kali Gandaki River which is about 140km northwest of the capital, Kathmandu, has created a deep and growing new lake.

A number of landslides have hit Nepal since the 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook the region one month ago killing more than 8-thousand people.
