Thousands of people are expected in Cobh this week to mark the centenary of the sinking of the Lusitania.
The ship went down one hundred years ago this coming Thursday.
Today sailors of the American USS ANZIO a missile cruiser will help the town prepare for the occasion in cleaning a memorial to the tragedy in which almost 1,200 people were killed.
