Two men and a woman remain in Garda custody in Cork this morning in connection with the discovery of two improvised explosive devices in the city.
Last Monday a device was discovered under a car at Mervue Lawn in Ballyvolane. While last July another device was found at a house in Kilnap Place in Farranree.
Yesterday investigating officers arrested a man and a woman in their late 30s in Kells, Co. Meath. Shortly afterwards a second man aged in his 20s was arrested in Mallow in Co. Cork.
All 3 are being held at three different Garda Stations in Cork under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
