Gardai have arrested two men as part of their investigation into the murder of Michael Kelly.
The 27-year-old Dubliner was gunned down in broad daylight in Kilmainham back on July 15th.
A murder investigation was launched and gardai made a number of appeals.
The scene of the shooting was adjacent to a Luas tram line as trams were travelling in both directions. As a result there was an initial appeal to passengers who may have seen anything.
The men are all aged in their 40s and were arrested this morning in Dublin.
They are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations.
