Three people are in hospital this morning after a car crashed into a seating area outside a pub in Donegal.

Gardaí said it happened at a pub on Tirchonaill Street in Donegal Town at around 7:50pm yesterday evening.

Two women and a man, all aged in their 60s, were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.

One of the women is being treated for serious injuries and the other two are being treated for injuries that are “believed to be non-life-threatening”.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area between 7:30pm and 8:30pm and may have camera footage.

The investigation is continuing.
