The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is not aware of a request for consular assistance from 3 Irish people arrested over a drugs haul in Spain yesterday.
They are being questioned after police boarded an Irish yacht and seized €6 million worth of drugs.
Authorities found 500 kilos of cannabis.
It has an estimated street value of €6 million on board-the vessel.
It is believed to have come from Morocco.
All 3 of the arrested are understood to be from Cork.
Two of them are a couple in their 50s.
Gardaí are liasing with Spanish police in relation to the suspects.
